HISTORY OF SCHOOL
Patron of the school is J璠rzej 好iadecki-( 1768 - 1838), Jan's brother, a chemist, biologist, philosopher, physican; 1797-1822 Chemistry Professor and 1826-32
Medicine Professor at the Main School of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, since 1832 at the Medical-Surgical Academy in Wilno; a co-founder and since 1819 the chairman of
the "Rogue Society"; as for his philosophical vinews he was in favour of empiricism and materialism of the French Enlightement and the conception of common sense of the Scottish School
of Philosophy; the inventor of the Polish chemical terminology, the author of the first Polish Chemistry course- book (" Beginnings of Chemistry", 1800),he introduced the conception of metabolism; his
"Theory of Organic Existence"( v. 1-2 1804-11)there was very much aheadof the development of Natural Science ; 好iadecki was also propagator
of hygiene and dietetics and pioneer of physical education in Poland.
The school traces its origin back to two sources. Two plants situated
in Chorz闚 opened their schools:The Nitrogen Plants and the Chemistry of Coke Plants "Hajduki". In 1976,
on benali on his Minister of Education joinded the schools creating the Group of Vocational Schools and later on the J璠rzej 好iadecki Technical Chemistry School.
September 2002 on the resolution of the Chorz闚 City Council of the 31 of January 2002 r the J璠rzej 好iadecki Technical Chemistry School was given the new name "The J璠rzej 好iadecki Group ot Technical School No 4"
The school included:the Secondary Technical School and Vocational School. September 2003 on the resolution of the Chorz闚 Citr Council of 27 March 2003 Secondary Comperehensive School was created and the school was
given the new name "The J璠rzej 好iadecki Secondary Technical and Comperehensive Schools No 4".
The building of the school has some historical importance. It was built in 1912, before World War II, it was the seat of the Natural Science Grammar School.
The site was constructed as a school building, so it is perfectly suitable for his purpose.
